There are many well trained and excellent physicians available who can diagnose and treat our critical health problems..The use of regular pharmaceuticals is absolutely necessary to treat many of our illnesses..There are as many marginal physicians just as there is in the alternative and integrative medical field.
The use of standardized supplements are absolutely necessary due to our modern lifestyle and environment.My doctor friend in Shanghai,China tells me even the Chinese will only buy American supplements.Most of these are supplements and not absolute cures as advertised by the many Emails and newsletters.
A good nights sleep is absolutely essential for good health. This sometimes is very difficult with our modern stressful lifestyle..There are numerous medical reasons for this and should be evaluated by your family physician..I personally will occasionally use Valerian Root 500 mg and supplemented with relaxant St.John’s Wort 300mg..It is interesting to note that St. John’s Wort was used by the Roman army to treat battle injuries.
Curcumin or better known as Turmeric has been known to alleviate joint and muscle pain and is certainly worth trying than putting up with gastrointestinal stress from the use of NSAID painkillers e.g. naproxen and ibupropen.
Cinnamon has been used in many cultures to stabilize sugar metabolism..It is certainly worth trying in the supplemental treatment of type2 Diabetes..I am not talking about the sweet buns but directly from your spice shelf. It can be used in your coffee or sprinkled on you cereal.
Apple cider vinegar has a myriad of uses. Do not use the pasteurized variety..One of the many uses is for nightly regurgitation..Use a tablespoon or two straight or with something like honey. Even though it too is an acid ..I have no idea why it works but it does.
